You may think that all skydives are created equal, but that’s not necessarily true. Yes, any time you get to jump out of an airplane is a good time, if you ask us, but there’s more to skydiving than just the rush of falling through the sky. One of the main perks of skydiving is the views, and if you’re going to go skydiving, New Hampshire has sights that will blow your mind!
Read on to find out why Skydive New England near New Hampshire is your one-stop shop for a premium NH skydiving experience!
New Hampshire Mountain Views
There are a plethora of options when it comes to skydiving in the United States. So, what state has the best skydiving? Well, we may be biased, but we believe that New Hampshire has everything you could ever want from a skydive.
When it comes down to it, the biggest thing that separates one location from another for skydiving is the views. And our neck of the woods takes the cake in that department. Imagine soaring through the air above sprawling forests, ridged peaks, and plunging valleys. Topographical diversity makes for some of the most engaging landscapes to view from above, and we’ve got you covered.
You know your skydive is going to be the experience of a lifetime – amp it up by making it the best it can possibly be!
Pro tip: add a media package to your jump to capture your jump above our beautiful home.
Best Times to Skydive Near New Hampshire
Something New Hampshire has that other areas of the country lack is changing seasons. And each season adds unique experiences to each skydive – come jump with us from May to October!
- Spring: New beginnings and fresh perspectives. Spring is a fantastic time to rediscover your passions and learn something new about yourself. Crisp mornings result in great visibility, and dropzones tend to be a little less busy this time of year, so it’s a great time to go skydiving if you like things low-key.
- Summer: Hot, sunny Summer is prime time for skydiving season in the North. Warm weather and long days mean that we can make lots of jumps before sunset, and there’s nothing more energizing than the Summer sun.
- Winter: This is the least popular season for skydiving in the North because of frigid temperatures. While a landscape of pure white is certainly beautiful, the windchill caused by falling through the air at 120 mph isn’t exactly an enjoyable feeling.
- Fall: Autumn in the Northeast is something special, and it’s even more magical when you’re freefalling when skydiving through the gorgeous New England sky! If you think the views of the mountains are breathtaking, to begin with, imagine covering them with the dazzling spectrum of changing leaves.
When all is said and done, Summer is the most predictable and busiest time of the season for skydiving in New Hampshire, but Spring and Fall offer natural beauty that shouldn’t be overlooked.
With all that skydiving in New Hampshire has to offer, you might just have to jump multiple times to catch it all!
Planning Your Skydive Near New Hampshire
So you’ve decided you want to skydive over New Hampshire – now what? You’ve probably got some questions that need to be answered before you’re ready to commit.
- What happens on a tandem skydive? There are distinct parts of each skydive. For tandem students, this includes getting geared up in your tandem skydiving harness, heading up to altitude in the jump plane, exiting into the boundless blue sky, freefalling for about 60 incredible seconds at 120 mph, and then soaring peacefully under parachute for several minutes until you finally land right back where you started!
- What should I wear? The best outfit for skydiving is one that you can easily move around in. Think gym fit. Dress appropriately for the temperature on the ground and bring layers. Shoes should have flat bottoms, closed toes, and no hooks.
- What should I bring? You should plan to spend around half a day with us, maybe more if the weather isn’t ideal. Plan to bring plenty of snacks, water, and any medication or comfort items you may need. And don’t forget your valid government ID to prove you’re 18! No alcohol is permitted on the dropzone.
- Why is skydiving so expensive? Skydiving is an incredibly involved activity that has more going on behind the scenes than it may seem. To run a dropzone, costs need to be covered including staff salary, plane maintenance, fuel, equipment acquisition and maintenance, instructor training, and more. We want you to have the time of your life, so everything we do is done with safety first, customer care, and deep consideration for your well-being.
- How much is it to go skydiving in Maine? While most skydiving costs are similar across the industry, each dropzone has its unique offerings, and thus, pricing. We can only speak to the pricing at Skydive New England, which you can find right here!
