Tandem Skydiving Tandem skydiving is today's most innovative and popular way of making that first jump!
		Your adventure begins with a 30-minute ground school where you meet staff members, view instructional videotapes, and get a general overview of your jump. You will learn how to exit the aircraft, freefall techniques, and body position during landing. Tandem jumping uses the dual instruction approach similar to learning how to fly an airplane, and your tandem instructor will be there to back you up through all phases of your skydive. The plane ride lasts about 15-20 minutes and the views from our dropzone are incredible. The ocean views of the majestic New England coastline and breathtaking mountains will surely enhance your experience.

Reservations are recommended. We are open 7 days a week so pick the day that works best for you. We ask that you leave a $75.00 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot in a tandem class. The deposit goes toward the balance of your skydive, which you pay on the day of your jump. You can use your credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) over the phone or online, or you can send in a check or a money order payable to: SKYDIVE NEW ENGLAND LLC 40 SKYDIVE LN LEBANON ME 04027 Plan to spend the day at the dropzone. Your class time is not necessarily your jump time. Remember, skydiving is a weather permitting sport. If you are unable to jump on your scheduled date due to the weather, we will issue you a raincheck which is good for 2 years. Wear comfy clothing and a good pair of sneakers. We supply all the equipment needed. We have the most up-to-date tandem and student equipment available in the world today. The instructors will give you personalized skydiving instruction using the most modern training techniques available. All skydiving instructors and parachute riggers are certified by the United States Parachute Association and the FAA, and average over 7,000 jumps each. You will jump from 14,000ft and the free-fall lasts for over a minute. You will reach speeds of up to 120 mph. Your parachute is rectangular in shape, similar to the wing of an airplane, and is completely controllable. Canopy rides last about 5-9 minutes, depending on how fast you like to fly your parachute. Weight limit is 250lbs. You must be 18 or older to skydive, so bring a picture ID. Don’t forget to get video of your skydive! Our staff wants to make your jump exciting and memorable. One of our professional freefall photographers can jump right along with you and capture your jump on video! Each video package comes with a FREE roll of still photographs too! Both VHS and DVD formats are available. That way, you can then share the thrill with your friends and family for years to come.



Tandem jumping is such an incredible experience! You will get the high-speed thrill of freefall, followed by the serenity and beauty of the parachute ride. Once you are back on earth, you will receive a first jump certificate and all the necessary information on how to become a licensed skydiver. Accelerated Freefall Program

Learn to Skydive!!

The United States Parachute Association’s (USPA) Accelerated Freefall Program advances students through eight categories of proficiency (A to H) and the completion of 25 skydives to qualify them for their USPA "A" license.

Initially you jump with your instructors flying alongside you, teaching you whilst in freefall. The first seven levels of our AFF program require you to jump with instructors, after you have completed these seven levels you can be jumping solo!

Because you are responsible for deploying and flying your own parachute there is much more that you need to know! Before making your first AFF skydive you need to attend the AFF first jump course class which is a 6 to 8 hour class which prepares you for your first AFF skydive. Provided you stay current each subsequent jump requires only a short period of review training and a briefing for your next skydive.

As you work through AFF and towards your A license you will learn advanced techniques such as:

controlled turns in freefall
forward and backward motion
tracking through the sky
back-flips
adjusting fall rate
group exits
flying your parachute with precision and accuracy
and much more!

Our instructors have been specially trained to teach you in the air, so you are actually learning in freefall! We also offer a professionally edited video of your AFF skydive, complete with music and still pictures.

Most of the world's great skydivers learned through the Accelerated Free Fall method, and once you have completed the course you are well on your way to becoming a master skydiver!

Skydive New England has taken the best information available and incorporated it into our program. Our AFF course exceeds all of the United States Parachute Association's regulations and has received rave reviews from our satisfied students!

To make an AFF skydive you must be over 18 tears of age, because AFF is more physically and mentally demanding than a tandem we require potential AFF students to be in good physical shape. Currently we have AFF equipment suitable for students weighing under 220 pounds.

AFF students in particular should note that skydiving is a weather dependent sport, the USPA issues guide lines for wind limits for solo and AFF student jumping which are lower than for experienced skydivers and tandem skydivers.
